Rock the Desert 2001 aired on Sky Angel about a month after it took place. Though I live half a country away, I was able to pretend I was actually there. Ain't TV great? So now I offer you these screen caps so that you, too, can pretend you were there. Well, there for the Newsboys part, anyway. And after all, that's what we're here for, right?

First off, a little tour of the tour bus. The emcee "sneaked" onto the tour bus to try to catch an interview with the Newsboys.	The Newsboys appear nonplussed by this guy's entrance. Perhaps they're not in a chatty mood?
Ever polite, Peter shakes hands with the emcee. Phil, meanwhile, doesn't know what's up with this guy.	Phil resorts to pointing and shrugging to express his confusion. Meanwhile, take a look at the bus. Overhead storage! I wish my little car had something like that!
Jeff's turn to act friendly. A handshake as Peter laughs it off.	Jody gives him a quick handshake as the Boys discuss whether or not this emcee is supposed to be there. Again, note the bus. Nice furniture! Carpeting! I suppose if you have to live in a bus, it may as well be a nice one.
Hee hee. Backpacks. I don't know why that tickles me so, but it does. The youngest Newsboy is 27, and yet they still have backpacks. That's great!	There's nothing left for Peter to do but shrug. Meanwhile, the emcee decides to begin his interview. "Peter, do you shave your head every day?" Peter gives no answer. They all call for security instead.
Security leads the emcee away and Jeff cracks up. Of course, this is all a staged skit. But it's still kinda funny. Or at least Jeff seems to think so!
