Our speaker, whose name I cannot remember for the life of me! I do know that he was from New Zealand and that he was a very powerful speaker. If I find out his name, I will certainly put it up here!

I wish I had had more time to watch the skaters and bikes. They were fun. But they were all the way on the other side of the stage, so seeing them was difficult at best. Hopefully these photos will give you some idea of what they were up to.

And now the moment we've all been waiting for (well, some of us, anyway): The OC Supertones! Man, they were great. But at that point, I was having a hard time convincing myself of that. The moshing started up with a vengeance! My Cap'N Crunch box was destroyed. After the show, I couldn't find any evidence of it. The cardboard box, which had split apart, was gone. The plastic bag, which had burst, was gone. And every single "kibble" of cereal had been smashed into the grass. There wasn't a single survivor. Poor cereal. Meanwhile, my water bottle, which was almost full, was stomped on and destroyed. My didgeridoo (a hollow wooden tube that's actually an Aboriginal musical instrument) was lost for a while, which worried me. I found it later, but it's all scuffed up. I brought it along in case I met Duncan. I thought since he plays the didgeridoo he might like to see mine. Of course, later when I met him I completely forgot all about it! Oh well. And finally, my backpack, which had stayed at my feet, was stomped on and covered in dirt. Luckily the contents survived. So overall, my impression of moshing is not at all favorable. I learned my lesson for the next night: I kept all of my possessions on my person at all times! And, as luck would have it, the moshing wasn't nearly as bad the next day! Go figure. But the Supertones themselves were GREAT! I had a wonderful time, I realize now. :)

A couple of really super Supertones!

Their drummer, who I learned the next night took over for a prior drummer who is now leading a youth group in Southern California.

It was hard to get more than one Supertone in any one shot. They were constantly on the move, those guys! Very hyperactive!

Someone appears to be in awe of Matt's singing abilities. Hee hee hee. I love their trumpets. They're so festively decorated! But where were the afros, guys?! I guess they didn't bring them with them on the Fall Leg. Oh well.

Onward, brave soul. Audio Adrenaline lies ahead!
