This is the final act I hadn't heard of: Melissa Tawlks. She sang praise and worship. It's not my favorite style, but she was very nice and quite good. It was an odd calm before the storm that is PAX 217...

Here's a shot of her band.

Let the loudness begin. I'm sooo glad I had earplugs! PAX 217 was fun. And I even knew some of their songs, which was nice. Thanks for the show, guys. As a side note, see the black thing behind him? That's the spinning drum kit, trying unsuccessfully to hide under a cloth. Yeah, like we don't all know what that is!

PAX 217's guitarist and record-scratcher. I'd name these guys for you if I knew their names. Well, maybe I should just make something up. Ladies and gentlemen, I present Obi and Marmaduke, PAX 217 members.

Another familiar face! Again, a band I knew from their music videos. If you know the video for "You Already Take Me There," what do you think? Is that really them jumping from the plane? Hm...

See, I told you that the Supertones liked watching the other bands. Matt of the Supertones is really digging Switchfoot, I guess!

The lead singer of Switchfoot was the only performer I saw wearing ear plugs. I wonder how loud it is up on stage?

Now this is talent! Keyboard AND guitar. You know, when Jody couldn't tour with the Boys earlier this year, maybe Jeff should have taken over for him. As this guy proves, it's possible to man both posts at once!

He's such a goof. Mid-song he jumped up on the barrier between the fans and the stage. That was cool, being so near a Switchfoot guy. Why the two kids in the foreground of my photo look so disinterested I don't know. That was really fun watching him perched on the edge of disaster. One off-balanced moment and he'd be crowdsurfing!

Time again for another page. Having fun yet? I know, I know. You want the Newboys! Well, see, you're getting the whole FCD experince. The whole thing is one musical interlude before Da Boyz come out. So hang on a little bit more, okay? Or you could always just skip ahead by clicking the links at the bottom of each page. But then you'd be missing my stunning naration! ;-)
