I just love this guy's glasses! This is the guitarist from The Benjamin Gate (Ben Gate). They were great!

 

This is probably another scrolling picture. But I wanted to get as much of the band in one shot as I could, so I'm afraid you're just going to have to put up with a little scrolling. But I'm sure the Ben Gate fans out there are happy. :) Did I mention they were GREAT?! The lead singer, Adrienne, told us that California really reminded her of South Africa, their home. Glad she liked us!

 

Ill Harmonics. I hadn't heard of them before the festival. Boy was I missing out! I loved them. They're a hip hop group. Some rap I like, some I don't. But this group I love! I'm gonna have to ask for their CD for my birthday, I believe. The guy on the left, he was hilarious. He had a picture of the US flag with him. Bear in mind that this was just a few days after the attacks. So every time he wanted to get the crowd roaring, he'd hold up Old Glory. Boy did that get the crowd's attention. We were loud!

 

The Elms liked Ill Harmonics, too! It was so fun watching the bands watch each other. The Elms, the Supertones, and Jody Davis seemed particularly prone to this. More on that later.

 

Next stop: Superchic[k], the Elms doing something other than watching, and another group I had never heard of.
