Told you my pictures were better the
next night. :) Ahh, I loved this show. Hardly any moshing. I
actually got to enjoy myself. The Supertones were very fun. And
very happy, 'cause they were back in Orange County!
I like the fish on this guy's guitar.
He gave a mini-message mid-set. He was very good.
I don't know why this surprised me,
but it did: they miked the trumpets! I guess even trumpets aren't
loud enough to be heard all the way in the back of the 5000-person
crowd all on their own.
I gave up trying to get them all in
one shot, so I just got as many together as I could...
Awww. Sleepy time for the Supertones.
Very sweet.
Meanwhile, Jody gives his tacit approval.
I don't know what Matt was pointing
at. It could have been their substitute drummer. Seems their
old drummer (who had been with them practically forever) left
the band a little while back. He's now a youth pastor for a local
OC youth group. So, since they were in the area, he got to do
a little drumming for them for old times' sake. They were all
so happy to see him again. He could hardly keep drumming as Matt
smothered him in hugs. :)
I don't know. Matt looks slightly mad
in this shot! He had every reason to be happy, though! He went
crowd diving and didn't get dropped!
Well, our trip is nearing an end. But
don't worry! There's plenty left. Audio
A and Newsboys. Who could ask for more?
