It's another glorious day at FCD.
Today it's about five hours away from where it was yesterday,
for today it's bringing joy to Irvine, CA. Yea! Paul joined Florence
and me on this leg of the journey. Tag along with us and have
some fun!
Florence and I seemed to have a knack
for arriving just as Newsboys are riding around on their bikes.
Here's Peter and Summer, just after arriving back from a bike
trip.
Like the silly fans we are, we chased
after them, torn between getting close enough to get a good photo
and getting too close and making them feel mobbed. As you can
see, we erred on the side of caution.
You can never have too many bad photos
of the Furlers on their bike. :)
One final bad photo of the Furlers
and we'll leave this topic, I assure you!
I just loved this arch. It looked so
festive. Sorry it's not showing up better. Believe me, it was
quite big and bright green!
Then came the highlight of my entire
trip! Duncan asked Florence and me to visit him on the tour for
cookies and water! Ah, it was entirely too much fun. Thanks,
Duncan! Jeff was also on the bus, but he was deep in conversation
with someone else. I didn't get a chance to say hi to him. But
as we were leaving, I did say a quick, "Bye, Jeff!"
Jeff finally turned to look at us as we were departing and said
his only statement to us. "Bye. Take it easy." Awww.
Thanks, Jeff. We will!
And yes, I am the obsessive type.
So here is my napkin (actually a select-a-size paper towel) complete
with chocolate cookie stains, and the water bottle Duncan gave
me. I ain't never throwing either away. I must compliment Duncan
on being an excellent host. He thought of everything! Food, napkin,
water. Wow. What a cool guy!
After we said goodbye to Duncan and
Jeff and regained our spot in line (thanks for holding it for
us, Paul!), it wasn't long until we saw Jeff and Duncan riding
away again. Bye, guys! Have a good lunch.
So that was our pre-festival excitement
for the day. Ready for some shows?
Let's go!
