Think it's been long enough since I wrote in here?! The good news is that there are millions of things to talk about today!

First off, Adoration has hit the stores. Rush out today and buy "Adoration." If you buy it from Best Buy, you'll get a freebie sampler CD as well. Here's the track list for that freebie CD:

I don't know if places other than Best Buy offer this CD, but if you can get it, you'd be wise to do so. Not only do you get a Phil Joel song out of the deal (it's a track from his "Bring It On" album), but you also get that "Smash Ups" song. It takes the instrumentation from "All Over Me" and combines it with the vocals from "Do Not." It's quite unique! I was told by a Best Buy employee that each store typically gets 50 of these sampler CDs, so try to get yours soon if you want it.

Macintosh fans, rejoice! If you have OSX, then get yourself over to Apple's website and download the latest version of iTunes. With iTunes 4, you'll have access to the new iTunes Music Store! The CCM section is HUGE! You can download any song for just $0.99! But what's on there besides dcTalk, ZOEgirl, Slick Shoes, Stavesacre, Supertones, Ill Harmonics, Dogwood, Starflyer 59, Joy Electric, Steven Curtis Chapman, and more? Why... the Newsboys!

The Newsboys have several albums on there: Thrive, Newsboys Remixed, Shine... the Hits, Love Liberty Disco, Step Up to the Microphone, Take Me To Your Leader, and Going Public. You can download individual songs for just under a buck, or you can purchase the entire album from $9.90 to $11.99 depending on how many tracks are on that album. What you're purchasing are AAC files, which are smaller than mp3's, but much higher quality. You can preview a thirty-second clip, full quality, before you buy. The iTunes store has no subscription costs, no fees, and no contracts to fulfill. You ONLY pay for the songs you download and you can buy as many or as few as you wish. Sorry, but it's only available in the States right now...

For those using Windows, Apple plans to make the iTunes Music Store available on that platform near the end of the year.

Looking for a summer missions trip? How about going on one with the Newsboys? The 'Boys will be heading to Mexico and Puerto Rico June 9 ? 18 and you can join them! This trip is happening thanks to Teen Mania's Global Expeditions. If I had more info, I'd share it with ya.

The Newsboys were busy in late March shooting their new music video for "He Reigns." It was taped (filmed?) on the beaches of Malibu, California. (Neener neener, that's my home state!) Here are some pics for ya, courtesy Newsboys.com and NewsboysBackstage.com.

Plenty of news today!

First off, the final track list for Adoration: The Worship Album (still due to release April 8) has been announced at Sparrow's website. It is:

1. He Reigns
2. You Are My King (Amazing Love)

4. Praises (Take My Hands)
5. Adoration
6. In Christ Alone
7. Lord (I Don't Know) - Live
8. It Is You - Live
9. Father, Blessed Father

Are any of these songs repeats? Well, yes and no. None of these recordings have been released on a Newsboys CD before, but...

Track 4 is the Praises from Shine...the Hits, but is revamped/remixed. I couldn't tell from the 30-second clip I heard if new vocals have been recorded or not. I guess we wait and see.

Tracks 7 and 8 are indeed songs from Thrive, but these are previously unreleased live recordings.

Finally, on a surprising note (well, it surprised me), Hallelujah is not the Hallelujah from "Step Up to the Microphone." Newsboys history will be confusing from this point forward... How will we distinguish between the two Hallelujahs? Time will tell.

Hey hey! The Newsboys' latest single is doing quite well, I hear!

Melodie e-mailed me to tell me that the Newsboys' latest single, "He Reigns," is now #2 on the AC chart and #5 on the CHR charts! That's quite impressive! Congratulations, Newsboys. And thanks to everyone who has been calling their local radio stations and requesting "He Reigns." Thanks also to dc, for originally posting that info on newsboys.com

Hi, everybody!
(Hi, Doctor Nick!)

On March 4 the Vegetales' Jonah DVD will be released. Why is that here on the Newsboys Blog? Because included on that DVD is the Newsboys' "Belly of the Whale" music video! You can see the screen shots and read the lyrics on this site, by the way. No word yet on whether it will have the words at the bottom like the Sing-Along tape version does. My guess would be no, but we'll see! :) Thanks to Bunyip of CCMChat fame for that info.

Get your singing voice ready! And while you're at it, grab a couple friends. Why? Because it's Newsboys Karaoke Night! Or it will be, as of March 18.

Family Christian Stores will be releasing an exclusive three-track Newsboys karaoke CD that will feature "Shine," "Love, Liberty, Disco," and "Step Up to the Microphone." This is a CD+G, which means the music will play in any CD player, but if you have a CD+G player (some DVD players are like this...), you can see the lyrics on-screen, each word highlighted as you go.

This CD+G is available for pre-order. Thanks to NewsboysThrive of CCMBuzz for pointing this out! Have fun singing!

Greetings from my lunch break at work. I'm sitting here eating animal crackers. Life is goooooood. *Eats a giraffe.*

Anyway, on to Newsboys stuffs. dc has been hard at work updating Newsboys.com, so I thought I'd steal some news from him. ;-)

"He Reigns," the 'Boys latest single (from the soon-to-be-released "Adoration" album) has soared to number 7 on the radio charts already! WooHoo! Let's see if we can get it even higher! If dc breaks out the exclamation points for number 7, what would he do if it were in the top three?! Smart money is on triple punctuation. Be sure to call your local radio stations and request "He Reigns." And remember, you can also listen to it online.

Also, there's a nifty iTickets.com section at newsboys.com that lists upcoming tour dates for the Newsboys. The Thrive tour has already wrapped up (including a few guest appearances by The Waiting at the end). Now it's time for the festivals!
