An unprecedented event took place recently in Houston: The first live satellite concert ever to originate from Space Center Houston. On the Scene Productions produced and directed it. Featuring Newsboys, the Grammy-nominated bank from Australia, the event was designed to celebrate the premiere of its latest release, "Take Me To Your Leader".

Downlinked to more than 100 retail outlets around the country, the concert was also transmitted directly onto the Internet - another first - and watched in cybercafes in Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta.

The six-camera live concert was delivered to the participating retail outlets that hosted listening parties for 200 to 1,500 people at each location. A thousand distinguished guests enjoyed the concert on-site at the Space Center.

Before the concert, On The Scene produced a Satellite Media Tour with Newsboys from the Mission Status Center, where they were interviewed by such media as E! Entertainment and CNBC. A Video News Release produced by On The Scene was distributed immediately after the concert.

Millions viewed the event, either on television, on-site or via cyberspace.
